in case you didn't know, christmas is my fav celebration of all time.
well i don't celebrate it in a religious way, but this day is important to me (have yet to know why exactly) and really makes me happy too.
the only part i find kinda frustrating about xmas (other than it's only once a year =.=):
shopping for presents.
maybe its me, but i find it really really difficult and tiring to shop for presents!
really takes a lot of effort + time.
really takes a lot of effort + time.
(especially for guys! who said that girls are difficult? okay maybe in some ways la.. but seriously, presents wise, girl's are much much easier to buy okay.)
and i burnt a really BIG hole in my pocket for xmas. totally overspent and overbudget. LOL
starting with xmas eve...
♥
we spent most of the day rushing around, just like amazing race.
but judging by our "performance" that day, sure get eliminated by 1st round =.=
anyway, starting from the morning. woke up freaking early, at 6.30am! had less than 4 hours of sleep.
had to send my car to the service center on xmas eve. what a big joke.
due to some reason, the appointment was fixed on that day, couldn't change/postpone.
well.. the prob of my car: weird+scary sounds when turning the steering wheel.
and it all started after i did something really stupid the other day..
we were talking (hence, not concentrating) and then i drove up a divider =.=
very smart eh? >.<
very smart eh? >.<
(the car issue was one of the main factor of our rushing.
the other was: our supposingly very smart move of buying movie tickets in advance.)
after that we had famous pan mee @ paramount for xmas-eve brekkie.
(no picture, forgot to take =.=)
the specialty at that shop: Loh Pan Mee with 3colors noodles.
made from spinach, carrot and something else which i forgot (why am i even surprised..)
maybe its me, but i think its a bit overrated (just like the chilly pan mee)
its nice. but not fantastic-wow. well you get what i mean..
♥ due to miscommunication (happens quite often lately), yumi and i ended up at DU around 1 something for her haircut,
which was very late.. totally behind schedule.
you know why? we already bought tickets for Sherlock Holmes at 2.
to make things worse, the car had an empty tank! which means we had to waste time for petrol.
there was absolutely no way we can make it on time =.=
the only thing we did as according to our plan:
parking at BU housing area and walking to 1u.
to save time, which was quite smart =)
(parking is always crazily full on holidays)
and we managed to watch half of the show. LOL
took me some time to adjust/understand what was going on in the show..
but the movie is GOOD
=)
Rate: 7.5/10
missed the front half, so probably gonna watch it again (if have the time+money)
♥ after the movie, we rushed to collect my car at the service center.
had mcd drive thru fries as late lunch in the car (save time)
and the guy at mcd's probably was too excited about xmas eve or something,
cuz he really really put TOO MUCH salt in the fries!
damn salty lor, we practically had to drown the fries in ketchup to make it less salty =.=
and the saddest part? out of the 6 packets, only TWO were ketchup!
so, we had to take more than half of the super-salty fries without any sauce (we don't take chili sauce)
and before that, we even told the guy to give us all ketchup.
i really wonder why do they even bother to ask what sauce you want, when they don't even (never) listen.
.
♥ .
a bit lazy lah, gonna skip some stuff and summarize..
anyway, i drove my car back from the center. so we left to go back home in separate cars..
and we both got stuck in a HORRIBLE jam! (due to my lan lek-ness, mine was worse =.=)
by the time we both got home, it was already 6pm.
and guess what? we already bought tickets for avatar @ 6.30! in Pavillion!! LOL
with the massive jam, how were we even supposed to reach there in time?
IMPOSSIBLE.
to make it worse, we were supposed to fetch clinton before going there.
IMPOSSIBLE X2.
crawling in the jam, we reached his place at 6.30 (timing for our movie =.=)
since there's no point rushing to Pavillion, we decided to cut loss instead = give up our expensive Avatar tickets
well at least.. this way we'll have a decent xmas dinner together..
rather than rushing there for less than half of Avatar and no xmas dinner.
and as usual.. he said: wait for you until 'fan gao'. =.=
poor guy.. haha
♥ part of our conversation:
Y: where should we go for dinner?
C: up to you all (so typical him lor..)
M: your area you decide la >.<
okay.. what you feel like doing?
C: i know! let's go get stuck in traffic jam!!!
Y&M: =.=
(Y: Yumi, M: Miko, C: Clint)
after typing, i just realised that the sf of our names is YMC!
should look for a guy with name starting with "A"!!
then we can become YMCA! LOL
*kena piak by someone*
sorry sorry... i know not funny =.=i quoted the above not because its lame (most of our conversation memang lame punye)
there's a reason la... read on..
♥after much torture and hesistation, we decided on BSC
(why do people always take so long to decide where to go yea??)
we wanted to go to WIP which stands for: Whipped Into Place.
it was featured in some mag and it looks really nice. very got feel.
but they were having exclusive xmas eve party that day,
rm150 per person. sorry, totally over our budget..
anyway, we ended up at Alexis.
at first, i was abit reluctant to go there..
cuz of my previous VERY PLEASANT experience @ Alexis Bangsar, a different branch.
(icydk, i was trying to be sarcastic)
there were no more tables.. and the Q was long..
after waiting for some time, the guy came over and said:
"sorry we're fully booked for tonight.
if you want, there's one table, but you'll have to leave at 8.30."
we were like dot dot dot lor (it was already 7.30 then, fast food meh), terus said no thanks.
when we're about to leave, he called us and said that "suddenly" got a free table for us..
(so typical)

among the food we ordered:
Pollo Pizza
not bad.. nice =)
Angel Hair with Sri Lanka Crab
quite nice too..
i didn't tell clinton (another seafood lover, like me ^^) about the 'Sri Lanka crab' story..
(ask me if you want to know)
well lucky i didn't... 90% sure lose appetite =.=
we ordered another pasta.. but i totally forgotten the name, too sophisticated.. (most of the names here are so)
roasted turkey with duck confit.
(with something else as well.. another sophisticated long name which i forgot)
my dear friend somemore thought that they were going to give us half turkey or something..
really rugi/close down if they do that at that price >.<
(even cold storage is selling whole bird at rm250 =.=)
guess what time our food arrived?
8.30
LOL. and.. at first, that guy somemore expected us to leave before 8.30.takkan he expect us to mai dan and leave once the food arrives? =.=
so..
its quite obvious that we splurged on xmas eve dinner lah.. (won't say the exact amount, but our bill > 200)
we even had expensive mineral water (seriously) that costs rm20/bottle >.<
and when we left... we realised that we're the youngest people there!
people must be thinking we're some stupid spoilt rich trust-fund brats, somemore 3person order 4dishes =.=
but don't care la, its XMAS EVE, once a year! =D
(but damn broke now okay)
both food and service are much much better than the other horrible branch at Bangsar.
Rate: 6/10
PS: the side tables with city view, really good for romantic dinners =)
(and please do make reservation first on special days)
(and please do make reservation first on special days)
♥
we went to many places after that..
(most of the time spent screaming and karaoke-ing in the car =.=)
1st: gardens/mid valley
surprisingly, the parking was really empty and there was no traffic jam at all!
2nd: bangsar street
we finally got our wish, that is:
to be stuck in jam! LOL (as in conversation above)
really weird cuz there's no jam at everywhere else!
after all of that, we decided to park at bangsar station and take a ride on the LRT, just for fun. really random.. =.=
and because we have never tried riding until the very last station,
we decided to...
ride all the way to gombak, and ride back again (sambil enjoying the night view) >.<
a bit mou liu lah actually...
i can't believe clinton actually was the one who came up with this idea!
well.. normally, he is very much against embarrassing/crazy/childish/38 behavior (such as this)
his fav quote "ngo mm sek lei" =.=
(read in canton = i don't know you)
♥
kl view from the station...
and we dashed into the lrt..
embarrassing to say so..
but halfway through our journey to the last station... we gave up =.=
because it was really torturing!
1st: the lrt was like a sardine tin. really unpleasant to see people squeezing in front of us.
2nd: there was NO night view at all.
3rd: the lrt was damn slow.
4th: we were already dozing off...
5th: seriously, do i even have to go on?
♥
took the train back to KLCC.
night view was nice. =)
and we had some window shopping (practically) in KLCC, with all the stores already closed =.=
♥
after that, we catched the last train at 11.30 pm, back to bangsar.
rushed back (failed) to clinton's place to see the supposingly-xmas-eve fireworks from there.
(amazing kl view from his place)
and.. guess what? there was none this year.
on the way back, we became mat-rempits of the night.
with full speed, windows down and music full blast. LOL
and... we had our xmas countdown in the car, THREE times! SS
first, with the car clock
2nd, with yumi's phone
3rd, with clinton's phone
(should have made it 4 times, with my phone =.=)
back to the screaming part...
and we screamed "MERRY XMAS!!!!!!" (really really loud) to the cars with windows down.
our screaming scared one particular proton car (the guy drove damn slow behind us after that =.=)
totally lost our voices after that. crazy but SO much fun! LOL
i think.. this is probably one of the most detailed post i've ever written. its so wordy! >.<
and my lappy's touchpad is driving me crazy!
♥
to be continued..
christmas day =)
